My cat is going to be spending a lot of time locked in the bedroom if she doesn’t figure out lying on the floor is not an invitation for her to join in the exercises 😛

  1. 🙂 For cats its any excuse to interrupt what youre doing.
    Love the blog, can you describe how the balance games work?

  2. @heretic: So I’ve found!

    Anyway, the balance games make use of the Wii Fit Balance Board. It senses how much weight you’re putting on your right and left legs, as well as if you’re leaning forward or back.

    For the Ski Slalom, you try to keep your weight forward enough that you pick up speed, and then shift right to left to go through the wickets. The Snowboard Slalom is similar, only the board is turned to the side.

    Tightrope gets you to walk in place while trying to keep your balance even, and every now and then pretend to jump in order to get over an obstacle.

    Lotus focus has you sitting crossed legged on the balance board, and you try to keep your balance centre or else the candle you’re focusing on goes out. I tend to use it and/or the tightrope as a cool down ^_^

    The other ones take a little more control than I have right now, but they’re similar in principle 🙂

    @rickwilson: Not quite yet 😉
