Writing Prompt Exercise — 100 Words

Even the moon seems to bear the weight of my burden. It doesn’t hang through the air, it sags, slumps, struggles to move along its way. I can’t even manage that. I’ve been sitting on the shore since the sun began its fall.

I don’t remember the minute details, just the apocalyptic conclusion, and that moment. The moment where I could see two courses of action, where I ignored the last chance to change, and took action to create ruin.

The yellow moon gazes sickly upon the remains, reflecting of my slick red stained hand, and the disaster they created.
